1/ Payments

For each booking an advance payment of 50% of the total of amount will be paid to Ceylon Diamond Cruises Pvt Ltd. The balance amount will be transferred within 7 days before the beginning of the cruise. Booking will be confirmed once the deposit has been paid. In case of Ceylon Diamond Cruises Pvt Ltd not receiving the payment within 7 days before the booking date, Ceylon Diamond Cruises Pvt Ltd can cancel the booking.

All payments have to be done according to payment instructions listed in the Pro-forma Invoice which the Company has sent either to Client or to Agency. The charter can be taken over only after the complete amount for yacht charter and all contracted extra services has been fully settled. If either advance payment or balance payment has not been fully settled until above stated deadlines, the Company shall be entitled to cancel the Vessel’s booking without any refunds to the Client.

2/ Commercial Invoices

Commercial invoice must be requested within 2 weeks after the booking with proforma invoice & the payment proof .

3/ Cancellation terms & conditions
Day programmes (Shared)

– Individual and Group bookings, it is recommended for cancellations of trips be made within the following time frames to ensure a full refund.
Bookings for 1 to 3 people – a minimum of 24 hours notice.
Bookings of 4 or more people – a minimum of 3 days notice prior to the charter date.
If the minimum notice is not given within the time frame, the client shall be charged 100% cancellation fee and Client does not have a right for any refund.
– Ceylon Diamond Cruises PVT Ltd may cancel the day charter at any time due to weather conditions being unsuitable for the day activities or due to minimum numbers of paying passengers not being met.

– Ceylon Diamond Cruises PVT Ltd has a policy on a minimum of 4 passengers for the charter to take place. In the event that Sail Lanka cancels due to weather or minimum passenger numbers not being met, pre-paid passengers have the option to transfer to another day or will be fully refunded if no other date is suitable.

Day programs, or part of the day (Private)

Overnight Charter (Joining and Private)

In the event of the Client’s cancellation of the booked charter onboard due to any reason whatsoever, the client and/or agent shall be obliged to notify Sail Lanka thereof by email without delay, and in respect, the client shall be charged for the cancellation in the amount of:
– 25% of the Down Payment if cancelation has been done 90 days prior the departure date. – 50% of the full charter rate if cancelation has been done 89-60 days prior the departure date. – 75% of the full charter rate if cancelation has been done 59-30 days prior the departure date. – 100% of the full charter rate if cancelation has been done 29 days prior the departure date.

The date of the receipt of the cancellation notice by email shall be the basis for the settlement of the stated cancellation charges. Exceptionally, should a cancellation of the yacht charter booking be done owing to the Act of God, i.e. objective serious reasons stated and proven by Client (death in the near family, serious sudden health condition, a serious accident, etc.), the Company may allow the Client to use the already paid amount as a pre-payment for the next booking within one year period. In this category of cancellations are also the situations when the Client does not come for the checkin (non-show-up case), or when the Client leaves the Vessel prior to the contracted check-out time (early- abandon case) – in all such cases the 100% cancellation fee applies and Client does not have a right for any refund.
